July 16, 2006 Brian Naranjo - I admit to being a natural-born skeptic who had never subscribed to making life improvements through the guidance of a book. The explosion of self-help, self-healing tomes over the past decade, written by doctors of every sort, have cluttered the shelves of bookstores, much to the delight of the self-help market, and to the gullible indulgence of generations of Americans looking for the 'magic words' that will make their lives better in some way. But then Mastering Marriage came along. Michaels' book shattered my skepticism. I absolutely love her 'Meat and Potatoes' approach to gaining or maintaining a healthy relationship. There's no down-talking, $25 word, gobbledygook-laden 'wisdom' in her work. She speaks to the reader, not at the reader. And she writes in plain language, with the approach of someone who's 'been there, done that.' This book is perfect for any married couple -- whether newlyweds who can't keep their hands off of each other, 10-year wedded 'warriors' on the verge of divorce, or partners looking to improve an already decent marriage. Mastering Marriage is a great book, and I highly recommend it. You only live once, and Mastering Marriage can help make your married life a long, blissful one.

It will help engaged couples start their married life off on the right foot! It will help you turn "good" into "great!" There is so much praise I can offer this book that it won't fit into this review, you'll just have to read it for yourself!!!!
June 21, 2006 Gina - Mastering Marraige has so many simple tips and clues to help improve a relationship. I have enjoyed reading the book and implementing many of the ideas. I am not married, but in a long term relationship and this book has changed my outlook! I recommend this book for any couple who wants to make their relationship even better. Enjoy!
June 19, 2006 Kelly Jane Paradise - I had the honor of meeting the author at a book review in Japan. I was interested to see what the excitement was about and dove right in. This is a great book that serves so many more than may innitially investigate it.... I was excited to find that the aim of this book was not to try and "Fix" my marriage, but enhance it. My husband was so intrigued with the recommendations I was quoting to my friends from the book, that he too read it! Any time he saw it put down, he would pick it up. I recommend it to all those who consider themselves "Happily Married" as I do, and then also to those who may one day marry, and to those who have the maturity to realize that they can be happy in their marriage, but may have missed out on some great info! Read it. You will enjoy the reading and be satisfied with how it plays in your life! Thanks for writing this book!!! March 2, 2006 R. My marriage IS the most important thing in my life -- other than our child, of course! This book is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ for any person that is single, contemplating marriage, already married, or thinking about the big "D." I couldn't put it down...and applied many of the principles the first day I read it, much to my husband's amazement! There is no magic to this...the authors have great ways of sharing their clues to marriage...a no-nonsense approach with honesty, respect, and values! Who would have known? I'm recommending this book to all my friends and family also! It's simply that fabulous.

What was I thinking???!!! My marriage IS the most important thing in my life -- other than our child, of course! This book is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ for any person that is single, contemplating marriage, already married, or thinking about the big "D." I couldn't put it down...and applied many of the principles the first day I read it, much to my husband's amazement! There is no magic to this...the authors have great ways of sharing their clues to marriage...a no-nonsense approach with honesty, respect, and values! Who would have known? I have recommended this book to lots of friends and most have purchased and appreciated the advice and opportunity to improve their marital relationships. I told a single male friend that reading this book would change his life and after reading it he agreed. One of my friends used it for a book club and it generated great conversation. Another friend bought eight copies to give as gifts for friends and family! It is such an important subject and Charlie and Mike (the authors) make it easy to tackle. I wish everyone would read it.
